HOW MUCH IS TATTOO REMOVAL

* LaserAway publishes rates for two size tiers, Quarter and Dollar Bill. Three larger tiers, up to Full Page, and its 3- and 10-treatment package pricing, are not published and require a free consultation.
Refund Policy
All treatment sales are final and non-refundable, including unused sessions in a multi-session package. In the rare case corporate approves an exception, refunds are issued only as store credit, never cash or a card reversal. Pre-paid sessions cannot be transferred to another person. When a package includes free promotional sessions, paid sessions are counted as used first — the free sessions carry $0 cash or refund value.
No-Show Policy
Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missing that window or not showing up forfeits the entire prepaid session — LaserAway deducts one full treatment from your package balance rather than charging a fee. Initial consultations are exempt: no penalty for cancelling or rescheduling those.
Financing Options
Financing requires a credit check. LaserAway accepts CareCredit, a medical credit card with a 0%-interest introductory period — but if you don't pay off the full balance before that period ends, you get charged interest on the whole amount, not just what's left. They also work with outside lenders like Cherry to set up monthly payment plans. With good credit, a full 16-session package for a quarter-sized tattoo can be financed for around $109 a month over a year.

LaserAway Astoria Reviews

Based on 311 patient reviews
LaserAway Astoria employs registered nurses and nurse practitioners for treatments, with customers noting that some nurses like Amanda, Crystal, and Emily explain procedures clearly and check on comfort levels throughout sessions. However, multiple customers report aggressive upselling tactics from staff who persistently push additional packages even after being declined, creating a pressured atmosphere. Results for tattoo removal are notably mixed, with some customers reporting satisfaction after receiving realistic expectations upfront. However, several experienced significant disappointment - one customer saw minimal fading after 13 sessions on a 5x5 inch tattoo, while another spent $6,000 with minimal visible results. Multiple customers describe feeling misled about expected outcomes and timeline, with some reporting that staff would increase laser settings only after complaints about lack of progress, raising concerns about whether appropriate levels were used initially. The clinic uses cooling technology during laser treatments that customers find helpful for managing discomfort, with treatments generally described as quick and relatively painless. Nurses accommodate clients who need breaks during sessions and provide thorough aftercare instructions. Pricing ranges from $1,000 to over $6,000 depending on treatment areas, with financing available through companies like Alphaeon Credit. However, customers report confusion about interest rates and payment terms, noting that original prices aren't always clearly displayed. The constant promotion of sales and deals, combined with lack of pricing transparency, contributes to customer frustration with the overall sales approach. Scheduling can be challenging with reports of appointment mix-ups and difficulty securing preferred time slots, though front desk staff like Jennifer and Eva receive some praise for being helpful when not focused on sales.
