HOW MUCH IS TATTOO REMOVAL

At LaserAway Boston, tattoo removal costs typically range from $200 to $420 per session, while a complete removal package costs $2,008 total on average. What you actually pay depends on your tattoo's size, colors, density and location, along with your skin tone.

Quarter

$200/session

Dollar Bill

$420/session

* LaserAway publishes rates for two size tiers, Quarter and Dollar Bill. Three larger tiers, up to Full Page, and its 3- and 10-treatment package pricing, are not published and require a free consultation.

Refund Policy

All treatment sales are final and non-refundable, including unused sessions in a multi-session package. In the rare case corporate approves an exception, refunds are issued only as store credit, never cash or a card reversal. Pre-paid sessions cannot be transferred to another person. When a package includes free promotional sessions, paid sessions are counted as used first — the free sessions carry $0 cash or refund value.

No-Show Policy

Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missing that window or not showing up forfeits the entire prepaid session — LaserAway deducts one full treatment from your package balance rather than charging a fee. Initial consultations are exempt: no penalty for cancelling or rescheduling those.

Financing Options

Financing requires a credit check. LaserAway accepts CareCredit, a medical credit card with a 0%-interest introductory period — but if you don't pay off the full balance before that period ends, you get charged interest on the whole amount, not just what's left. They also work with outside lenders like Cherry to set up monthly payment plans. With good credit, a full 16-session package for a quarter-sized tattoo can be financed for around $109 a month over a year.

LaserAway Boston Reviews

4.3

out of 5

Based on 157 patient reviews

LaserAway Boston delivers mixed results for tattoo removal, with some customers seeing visible fading while others report minimal progress even after multiple sessions. The clinic typically offers packages of 8-10 treatments costing several thousand dollars, though customers often need additional sessions beyond their initial package. Financing options and payment plans are available, though some customers express frustration about pricing transparency and feel the cost isn't justified by their results. The nursing staff thoroughly explain procedures, check on client comfort throughout sessions, and provide detailed aftercare instructions. Adriana, Adelaida, Carly, and Asma are mentioned as caring professionals who help clients feel comfortable during treatments. Pain levels vary significantly among customers, with most finding treatments tolerable and staff frequently checking in during sessions to minimize discomfort. However, some confusion exists about numbing cream availability, with conflicting information provided to different customers. Scheduling proves problematic, with customers reporting frequent appointment rescheduling, long wait times, and poor communication about changes. Some experience difficulty reaching the clinic by phone and receive inconsistent information from different staff members. Equipment reliability appears to be an issue, with cancelled appointments due to broken laser machines. While many front desk staff receive praise for being helpful and answering questions thoroughly without pressure, some customers report pushy sales tactics for additional packages.
