HOW MUCH IS TATTOO REMOVAL

At LaserAway Portland, tattoo removal costs typically range from $200 to $420 per session, while a complete removal package costs $2,008 total on average. Exact pricing depends on your tattoo's size, colors, body location and ink density, plus your skin type.

Quarter

$200/session

Dollar Bill

$420/session

* LaserAway publishes rates for two size tiers, Quarter and Dollar Bill. Three larger tiers, up to Full Page, and its 3- and 10-treatment package pricing, are not published and require a free consultation.

Refund Policy

All treatment sales are final and non-refundable, including unused sessions in a multi-session package. In the rare case corporate approves an exception, refunds are issued only as store credit, never cash or a card reversal. Pre-paid sessions cannot be transferred to another person. When a package includes free promotional sessions, paid sessions are counted as used first — the free sessions carry $0 cash or refund value.

No-Show Policy

Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missing that window or not showing up forfeits the entire prepaid session — LaserAway deducts one full treatment from your package balance rather than charging a fee. Initial consultations are exempt: no penalty for cancelling or rescheduling those.

Financing Options

Financing requires a credit check. LaserAway accepts CareCredit, a medical credit card with a 0%-interest introductory period — but if you don't pay off the full balance before that period ends, you get charged interest on the whole amount, not just what's left. They also work with outside lenders like Cherry to set up monthly payment plans. With good credit, a full 16-session package for a quarter-sized tattoo can be financed for around $109 a month over a year.

LaserAway Portland Reviews

Based on 139 patient reviews

Customers generally describe LaserAway Portland as professional and welcoming, with consistently friendly staff from front desk to medical personnel. Most experiences are positive, with many noting the clean facility and comfortable atmosphere. However, some customers report significant scheduling issues, with delays ranging from 30 minutes to over an hour being common complaints. A few customers experienced dissatisfaction with specific treatments or felt pressured into purchasing expensive packages. Front desk staff, particularly Cassidy, Essie, and Marissa, receive frequent praise for being welcoming, kind, and helpful with scheduling needs. Staff members are described as informative during consultations, clearly explaining procedures and answering questions thoroughly. However, scheduling reliability appears problematic, with multiple customers reporting frequent appointment time changes made the day before or day of service. Some customers felt pressured to purchase package deals rather than individual treatments, and a few reported aggressive follow-up marketing calls and texts after initial inquiries. Communication responsiveness varies, with some praising quick responses while others experienced delays in getting callbacks about concerns. Results vary significantly among customers, with some seeing progress after multiple sessions while others report no visible improvement after eight treatments. One customer noted excellent results compared to previous clinics, while another saw no difference after eight sessions and considered the service ineffective. Staff explain the process clearly and work to make treatments as quick and comfortable as possible. However, some customers felt rushed during sessions, particularly when technicians had scheduling conflicts or other appointments. Customers acknowledge that tattoo removal is painful but generally find the experience tolerable when staff take proper time and care. Nurses are praised for being gentle and checking in regularly during treatments to ensure comfort. However, some customers reported feeling rushed through sessions without adequate breaks, which made the painful process more difficult to endure. The facility uses Q-switched laser technology for tattoo removal rather than newer options like PicoSure. Some customers specifically noted this older technology as less effective compared to more advanced laser systems available at other clinics. Customers frequently describe pricing as expensive, with tattoo removal packages costing around $4,200 for ten sessions. The clinic offers financing options and frequently runs sales promotions. Some customers felt package pricing was misleading, with individual session rates being significantly higher than package rates, making refunds complicated when treatments don't meet expectations.
