HOW MUCH IS TATTOO REMOVAL

At LaserAway Union Square, tattoo removal costs typically range from $200 to $420 per session, while a complete removal package costs $2,008 total on average. Exact pricing depends on your tattoo's size, colors, body location and ink density, plus your skin type.

Quarter

$200/session

Dollar Bill

$420/session

* LaserAway publishes rates for two size tiers, Quarter and Dollar Bill. Three larger tiers, up to Full Page, and its 3- and 10-treatment package pricing, are not published and require a free consultation.

Refund Policy

All treatment sales are final and non-refundable, including unused sessions in a multi-session package. In the rare case corporate approves an exception, refunds are issued only as store credit, never cash or a card reversal. Pre-paid sessions cannot be transferred to another person. When a package includes free promotional sessions, paid sessions are counted as used first — the free sessions carry $0 cash or refund value.

No-Show Policy

Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Missing that window or not showing up forfeits the entire prepaid session — LaserAway deducts one full treatment from your package balance rather than charging a fee. Initial consultations are exempt: no penalty for cancelling or rescheduling those.

Financing Options

Financing requires a credit check. LaserAway accepts CareCredit, a medical credit card with a 0%-interest introductory period — but if you don't pay off the full balance before that period ends, you get charged interest on the whole amount, not just what's left. They also work with outside lenders like Cherry to set up monthly payment plans. With good credit, a full 16-session package for a quarter-sized tattoo can be financed for around $109 a month over a year.

LaserAway Union Square Reviews

Based on 267 patient reviews

LaserAway Union Square maintains a professional and welcoming atmosphere that consistently earns positive feedback from customers. The clinic is described as clean, modern, and bright with comfortable treatment rooms. Staff members create a friendly environment where customers feel welcomed from the moment they enter, with many noting the warm greetings and complimentary drinks offered in the waiting area. While most experiences are positive, some customers report scheduling issues and occasional wait times that can extend beyond appointment times. The front desk team receives frequent praise for being helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable about services and pricing options. Staff members like Gabrielle, Jamie, Walter, and Krystal are repeatedly mentioned for going above and beyond to help customers understand packages, find deals, and navigate scheduling. However, some customers report inconsistent experiences with appointment scheduling, including mix-ups between locations, unexpected cancellations, and difficulty rescheduling. A few reviews mention feeling pressured to purchase additional services, though many customers appreciate staff recommendations for package deals and financing options. Communication responsiveness varies, with some customers reporting excellent follow-up while others mention unreturned calls. Customers report mixed experiences with tattoo removal results and service consistency. One customer expressed frustration after completing a three-session package, noting that their tattoo became too light to treat after the third session, potentially making their expensive package non-refundable. Another customer experienced significant issues when a nurse treated their entire tattoo instead of the specified area, resulting in additional unwanted work worth approximately $800. Staff transparency about the tattoo removal process appears inconsistent based on these experiences. Most customers find treatments surprisingly comfortable, with many noting that procedures are much less painful than expected. The clinic uses cooling systems during laser treatments, which customers frequently mention as helpful for pain management. Staff members consistently check on customer comfort levels throughout treatments and offer breaks when needed. Numbing creams are available for certain procedures, and the clinic provides a private room for numbing cream application, which customers appreciate for comfort and privacy. Treatment consultations generally provide clear information about procedures, though some customers report receiving conflicting details from different staff members. The clinic offers flexible scheduling with appointments available throughout the week, though afternoon appointments sometimes run significantly late. Several customers mention being offered package modifications when their original selections didn't meet their needs, demonstrating staff willingness to customize services. Customers describe pricing as competitive with good package deals frequently available. The clinic offers financing options and a rewards program that customers find helpful. Staff members actively help customers find discounts and use accumulated points effectively. However, some reviews mention unexpected price increases during consultations, particularly for CoolSculpting where virtual consultation prices differed significantly from in-person quotes. A few customers report feeling misled about package inclusions, with additional costs arising that weren't clearly communicated upfront.
